Earth hour is an international campaign during which the WWF encourages to turn off the lights and appliances for one hour as a sign of indifference to the future of the planet.
At the same time the lights of the most famous buildings and monuments of the world go down. In 2016, the Earth Hour will be held on Saturday, March 19 from 20:30 to 21:30.
The goal of Earth Hour is not to save electricity. The action is a sign of solicitous attitude to nature. From year to year this event brings attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature.
Today Earth Hour is the largest mass environmental event on the planet. It involved more than 2 billion people worldwide, over 170 countries and about 7,000 cities.
